Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage
SSO offers medical, dental, and vision coverage for benefit eligible employees assigned to long term projects, with coverage beginning shortly after employment starts (on the first of the month following start of employment). Medical plans are available through Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, with multiple coverage options. Dental and vision coverage are provided through Guardian.
Employees who participate in a non SSO group medical plan may also be eligible for semi annual reimbursement.
Domestic Partner Coverage
Coverage is available for domestic partners of all genders, with valid documentation.

SSO supports your overall well being through reimbursement programs, including:

Life and Disability Coverage
Basic life insurance and long term disability coverage are provided at no cost to benefit eligible employees assigned to long term projects.
Optional Coverage

- Voluntary accident and critical illness insurance
Premiums for optional coverage are payroll deducted. Waiting periods may apply.
401(k) Retirement Plan
SSO’s 401(k) Retirement Plan helps employees save for retirement through pre‑tax or Roth contributions. Employees age 21 and older are eligible upon hire and may enroll within 30 days. SSO offers a discretionary match of up to 6% of pay contributed during the plan year, with a four‑year vesting schedule.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) allow employees to pay for eligible healthcare, dependent care, parking, and public transportation expenses on a pre‑tax basis.
Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are available for employees enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan, offering additional tax‑advantaged savings for qualified healthcare expenses.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
SSO offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Uprise Health to support a wide range of needs, including stress and anxiety, work‑life balance, family concerns, substance use, depression, and elder care. This confidential counseling and referral service is available 24/7 to all SSO employees, their dependents, and household members.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Full‑time employees accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each year based on project assignment. A portion of unused PTO may be carried over annually.
Holidays
SSO offers paid holidays, with observed holidays varying by project assignment.
Nationwide Pet Insurance
Nationwide Pet Insurance plans are available to SSO employees and offer flexible coverage options, including reimbursement for eligible veterinary expenses, coverage for pets of all ages, and optional wellness benefits.
Commuter Benefits
SSO offers pre‑tax commuter benefits through Marshall & Sterling, allowing employees to set aside funds for qualified parking or mass transit expenses related to their work commute.
